Having not been able to get out for a fish so far this year I was starting to get a bit edgy. check sea breeze and the forecast was good for the weekend and I was not working I couldn't have been more excited now just to get crew for the boat well guess what no one wants to go for a fish, heard every excuses under the sun. think it was the dirty water that put everyone off. So decided to take the kayak out for a fish was not expecting to much but just wanted to fish to my surprise I was rewarded with a 168cm wahoo well worth the paddle

Bet the fish made the paddle back more enjoyable..

mossy247 think u right and if it was Just tinny I would understand but I got a 5.8 fiberglass centre console and still can't get crew to go out but after that fish kind of glad they said no

Hey cobiaman yeah missed out on 1770 was up at Fraser that week and couldn't make it but will not miss it this year

Awesome fish! Were you slow trolling a livey or using a lure? Great reward for paddling that far out (off palmy?) good to see they are still hanging around even in the dirty water

Was slow trolling a dead bait so a wahoo was the last thing I thought it would be when the rod went of yeah u seem to know the spot I was off palm

Yeh I know the spot but I've never pulled anything like that out of it haha. Where do you normally launch your boat? I usually just skid down from the seaway but I'm still new to trolling lures, baits etc. I reckon I need more time on the water but I don't think the missus and kids would agree.
