Soft Plastics in CQ - Which ones ?

I'm going to make a determined effort to catch a decent fish on a soft plastic lure over this easter. I've had very little luck on them over the years.

I'll be fishing around Coorooman Creek estuary near Yeppoon in Central Qld and hope to catch anything legal sized. Maybe Grunter, Flathead, Threadfin or Blue Salmon, jewfish if they live around here.

I went to BCF yesterday and there were just too many of them to make sense of.
I ended up with a pack of Squigy Wiggler Pro 140 in 'Yakka' with some 1/6oz TT Heads to match.

I'll be fishing them of my new outfit.

    7Foot Samaki Zing 702SM
Diawa SOL II 2508 with 12lb Braid.

Can anyone recomend others that might work in these waters on this rod.

    Cheers

I like Berkeley gulps nuclear chicken and pearl shine and squidgy bloodworms wriggles work well also. Seem to catch lots of flathead on nuclear chicken jerk shads, and the yabbie looking ones in yabbie colours works well also think are gulps.

I was talking to an old timer at the ramp tonight.
I caught nothin (as usual), he had 9 bream, 4 Threadfin, and a black spot cod around 6kg.
He adds a thin strip of squid on all his SPs hanging off the hook. Says it triples his catch.
    Has anyone tried this?
