1. I am sure the majority of people (who do understand) across a broad spectrum of different technology providors understand the situation exactly. Some however will continue to ignore the overall reasoning.

well its pretty simple really as i see it and obviously some people like to muddy the aussie import waters - buy a lowrance hds combo unit from the usa and it will be geofenced - buy any other brand and it wont be although you may have to live with feet and miles instead of metres and kilometers but no big deal that
