As a newbie I understand its a good idea to wash your boat down after use. Now if you have a tinnie or runabout with a floor, how and how often do you wash under that?
Cheers!

I wash the tinnie every time. Check to see if your floor timber is sealed with anything. If it isn't then it will get soft reasonably quickly. If you can get it sealed. The other thing with floors in tinnies is that things can get hidden there. If you have accidently dropped and lead and it gets under the floor you can end up with corrosion issues. Pays to check under there regularly to see what's there.
Remember to always log on before heading offshore.
When i had a tinnie i pulled the floor out every trip. Didn't want hooks and lead corrosion in the alloy. Also made it easier to clean floor. Just stood it against wall and used high pressure cleaner on it.
I washed the tinnie out for the first time last week. I've had it for seven years so I thought I'd give it a shock. It grew three types of weed over winter. The hull and timber floor are still in excellent condition.
Thanks for the replies everyone.
When I finally get my boat, it sounds like I'll give inside of the hull a spray after every 3rd or 4th outing.
Talking about fish hooks etc causing corrosion, I was looking under the floor of a new boat and there was a little bit of scurf left behind from when it was built.
