come on rain, your stuffing up our mackerel season

Don't know about you guys but I'm over the rain. Im at Evans Head and the rain we've had in the last 2 months between Tweed and Port Mac is unbelievable. Some places have had the most rainfall in 50+ years.
I wait all year for the Mackeral to show up its my favourite fishing which ever way your chasing em. This weather just keeps putting em on hold. I know up north and further south there had a few good runs but we've only had the one here and there, no numbers. Anyway still some time left if the rain stops i guess.

Anyone got stuck into em yet, and whats you best this season.

    cheers ranga

Yep yep come on those hot currents running down the coast to clean it all up asap

I haven't even wet a line yet this season for the Macs (Maybe the near month I spent down south had something. To do with that haha)

There is a fine line between fishing and just standing on the shore like an idiot

I wonder how much deeper the ocean would be without sponges

They aren't here in numbers yet (Cairns area), still the odd solo fish around with the occasional multi-catch, they should be here in late march possibly with the numbers getting a lot thicker from August. Can't wait, going to put in some good sessions this year for some monsters.
