not at all. there should be good numbers of catfish and sharks around as they love the fresh, but you could also do alright on whiting and mudcrabs tho.
fishing's as simple as 3 P's - patience, perserverance and PLASTIC!

That's because hey don't mind a bit of fresh, afterall you'll get bream in brackish water. They will move up into the shallow stuff under the cover of the murky stuff for a feed. I will be out today either side of the high to try my luck in the murky flats.

I wasted my time i did.

I done alright last session after the wet, but another dumping later, and you can see the silt in the water.

Tried lots, poppers over the flats and weed, weedless set up prawn like flick baits. Fished the deep with plastics, snags, drifting, flicking, casting, colour change of lures, trolling ect ect. Only thing i did not try was bait, but there was lots about. Not one scale in 5 hrs.

    That's fishing.

In this kind of water your probably better off throwing out a chunk of greasy mackerel, nice and oily and smelly.
Then again if there is too much mud and fresh it would make it hard in any case.

And I guess soakin a bait can be boring too if you have no idea what is around.

The weather has put a hold on my work, and no work means no pay. However, out in the boat, glassed out conditions, not a hot day, rod in hand, who realy gives a , about work.
