dvd doesn't want to play as the hand brake on the boat is not on

second hand boat came with dvd multimedia station

radio and music cd s play fine . but video/dvd loads and then comes up with
cant show movies when driving
stop car and engage hand brake
''
instalation instructions say '' connect green wire to parking brake lamp ground''

will not play if disconnected , tried to negative ( ground) and tried positive no go

does play for 1 sec video then audio all time but after 1 sec warning stop driving engage hand brake

i have run out of ideas

I thought it was the pink one that needs to be ground? Try grounding a few different ones..

What brand of radio.
New hilux has to have h/brake wire earthed & motion signal wire cut off short to work while driving.
