Got my Talica in the post today bouth it off the evil bay. Anyway the handle has a fair bit of ant reverse play in it - seems a little sloppy wondering if this is normal?
The Talica 2 speeds don`t have a one way roller bearing to my knowledge. Only 2 silent pawls, which I think are syncronised. This means they both make contact at the same time on the ratchet. If they were staggered it would reduce the contact lag.
So your reel is probably OK.
If you had an IAR bearing you would have no handle play.
