Pontoon at Lamington Bridge boat ramp damaged from recent flood

The pontoon at the Lamington Bridge boat ramp at the Mary River in Maryborough was damaged during the recent flood.

I took some pictures on 11/6 just before the ramp was open for public use.

These are recent pictures of the pontoon & boat ramp (8/2/13).

The pontoon is still salvagable due to the steel cable attached to its concrete access ramp.

    Wow
that's amazing. Hopefully they can get it back without having to redo the bloody lot. Amazing that shackle connection didn't break given how twisted it is.

Well at least the potoon is still there, just not quite in the correct spot. I was surprised that one was installed there considering how high the flood goes there. And I thought that when a flood was coming that they used to rip the railings down on the Lammy so that rubbish would go straight over.
And the funniest thing out of these photos for me is, I thought the river flowed the other way for the last 32 years haha
