re - a sea jay 5.0 or 5.4 venture cab

hi all - my son is interested in buying a sea jay venture cab preferrably the 5.0 with a 100 hp 4 s or the 5.4 model with a 115hp 4s - he works in the mines so has a few dollars to spend now and then and i am doing the running around and chasing for him - main proposed use is in the bigger rivers and creeks estuaries for barra etc e.g hinchinbrook etc - and the bays and the odd day off shore on a real good day - close in off noosa bar; around top of moreton etc as we dont take on the SPB

we have not been able to locate a 5.0 m version to have good look at so can anyone who has the 5.0 or the 5.4 version give a bit of advice please

    the main queries are:-
can two persons sleep ok in the 5.0 me cab version ok and are the v bunks long enough for two people under 6 ft tall

how does the sea jay venture cab alloy hull ride in a bit of bay chop and handle close in off shore on a pretty reasonable day (under 10- 15 knots wind speed)

and is the 115 hp 4S enough power for the 5.4 version

thanks for any experienced advice from any genuine owners or users
    cheers rob

Sorry patrol - saw your thread when you forst posted it. I stayed out because I've 'only' got a pressed seaJay 4.4 - not one of their platies. I can tell you, tho, that I'm very happy with mine -build quality and after-sales has been fantastic. The boat is great too, for what it is.

Not the endorsement you were looking for, but I'm pretty sure most here will agree that SJ are a well established, and respected builder and that you could do far worse than one of their platies.

Thanks propdinger appreciated - it really amazes me that their cant be a lot of sea jay venture owners about as it certainly seems a pretty good half cab boat ( i suspect it leaves the quintrex spirit a fair way behind) - with the sea jays having a 3 mm (5.0 m) or 4 mm (5.4 m) floor and 3 mm plate sides
