crabbing in the Pine after floods

    Hello everybody.
I trying to get out this weekend for some crabbing (with the rest of Brisbane) which I have'nt done in a year or so. I would normally go down the south pine or 4 mile creek to soak the pots. however as the NPD opened up lasted week and I would think flushed everything out and I have not gone down to look at water quality.
My question is; where would I find the crabs trying to get away from the fresh and how far down stream should I go? would the highway bridge be far enough or should I try further to Dolyes rocks and the mouth under the bridges to get a crab. thanks mates. brad.
is time to go fishing yet

I has a look at the Pine on Wednesday. The river was totally fresh at the Redcliffe bridges at low tide but there was some salt in the water at high tide. I put my pots down in the river below the Redcliffe bridges and got 11 muddies, mostly bucks, but only one keeper in about 5 hours. Had a look for prawns in all the usual, places but did not find any. Had a fish under the bridges while the pots soaked and got 3 quite solid bream and released a couple just under, along with 10 catfish.

We got 6 yesterday, Reset and got another 4 today in a creek just nearby so they are defiantly still about... Although in one area there seemed to be about 30 pots within a 50m radius...
