    Somerset Dam a bit full.

This is a picture of the Lester Kropp Bridge, Stanley River at the Somerset Dam, on Neurum rd. Looking from Villeneuve towards KIlcoy.

From an anglers point of view it's not a good thing. With no spillway the lake won't lose too many fish but over all the fishing will be poor for a couple of months at least. A large sudden influx of water and rise in level (atm Somerset is 2.5mts above 100%) can initially bring on a good edge bite for a few days but unfortunately the lake is currently closed for safety reasons. Hope this helps.
    Cheers

Hm looks like the Kilcoy clubs land will be totally under water again!

Heard about the waterway a lot lately, and just googling it again now. HAVE to get out there, but fresh water will be a shock.
    Good luck out that way!
