From an anglers point of view it's not a good thing. With no spillway the lake won't lose too many fish but over all the fishing will be poor for a couple of months at least. A large sudden influx of water and rise in level (atm Somerset is 2.5mts above 100%) can initially bring on a good edge bite for a few days but unfortunately the lake is currently closed for safety reasons. Hm looks like the Kilcoy clubs land will be totally under water again!
Heard about the waterway a lot lately, and just googling it again now. HAVE to get out there, but fresh water will be a shock.
