    Hey Phil,

Yep every year we go to Stanage, leave there and set camp up at Middle Percy. We fish mainly around The Percy group and pick the best 2 days to shoot out to the Swains from there. We do the while thing solo just 4 of us in a 7.4m Pacific Sportfish. We let Tony and Von know where we are going and our ETR so if anything should go wrong they will come and get us. We used to stay on the boat for the whole 6 days but it is a whole lot more comfortable camping on the beach and you don't have to put up with the smell of the boat after 3 days. I also tend to sleep a lot better!! The best thing about leaving from Stanage is that once you are at the Percy's it can blow 30knots and you can still get out as you just tuck in behind the islands somewhere. As long as it is less than 20knots we go.

The Swains is an Awesome place and the only reason we go there is for the pelagic action. I have never seen anything like it. Truly sensational and you do end up coming back with extended arms. Getting blown away using Stella 18000's and 90lb braid is something that stays in the memory banks for ever.

We do fish around the Percys for reefies and also dive for crays which is an added bonus. Little cold at that time of year though so I think this year I will take the wetsuit and the weight belt. Previously we don't due to the additional weight as we take 550lt of fuel, 400lt of ice, grog, camping gear etc so we are very heavy so much so it takes probally 30 seconds to get on the plane and we are almost WOT the whole way to percys.

I am sure you guys will have an awesome trip and I wouldn't be surprised if this becomes an annual one like we do. We used to do an annual 1770 trip but it definately doesn't compare. I cant wait to see the photos and the storys.

    All the best boys.

OK a week out and the weather is a bit up in the air. It all depends on what the dirty little low forming later in the week off NSW is doing (Lets just call it Gallen for the time being). To me its looking better than a day or two ago and hopefully we will get a better picture over the next few days

The third night was Muddy Toes turn.
He was a tanned fisherman ... a mans man.

He said Well we got ready for bed.
I went and tucked The Lump into bed, patted him on the bum and kissed him good night on the lips.
The Lump sat up and watched me all night.

Ahhh Phil. I assume that was payback for your efforts the other night. Nice try mate but anyone who knows snoring knows that the originator of this thread is the man to beat. A man who can inhale and reverberate oxygen to the point of setting off smoke alarms wins hands down!! Isn't that right Neil? Oh and after Muddy kissed me on the lips I wasnt sitting up to keep an eye on him I was waiting for him to come back and finish the job off

A quick look at the weather this morning and things are looking a bit grim. If anyone has the long term Bouyweather can they post it up for us to cry over. A call will be made by Thursday morning
