    Tweed river land based

    Hey guys

I am heading upto tweed last week of feb and thought I might either throw a lure or drown a bait of some sort in the river.

Can anyone give us an idea of a few spots to try mainly for a flathead or a jack even, we are stayin at the sebel so pretty close to the mouth of the river.

    Any info would be great
    Thanks melony

It appears either no one fishes the tweed or you must be a member of the secret fishers service to be in the know up there.

    Just general land-based areas -

The rock walls either side of the mouth stretch, there are a few reports on this site from ppl that fish them occassionally
Under the Boyds bay bridge (either side)
Under the Barneys Point bridge (northern side, not sure if you can southern side)
Next to the Barneys Point bridge is a big Jetty as well
The rock walls all along the Fingal stretch

Thats just a few of the common/popular options. There is also a boat hire place on the Northern side of the Boyds Bay bridge. Just driving around the roads near the river you will see plenty of rock walls and almost all are accessible for fishing. Hope that helped a bit.
