If you send that picture and out come to ken I would be very interested to see his reply,
maybe now your bow down issue isn't about motor hight but the 4 blade bow lift prop your were talking about before???
I really have no idea just what come to mind..

watching this post closely..

yep if your still doing tight turns with a bit of trim out and not losing grip go up, no point draging the av plate in the flow of water

you can also try instole plastic spacer let's say 10mm bitwin motor and transom
it will give more nose down with out using your trim tabs

After raising the motor the nose is down considerably which is good.

If I put too much trim tab down, it will bow steer, so I have to relearn the settings.

Just need a prop to suite and I'd say its a goo balanced setup

Haha wow, that wasn't right lol.

I meant it will now bow steer with too much trim. iPhone corrected it lol.

Yes final test was with foil attached. Going for a 330km trip this afternoon to see how she travels in swell. Will assess after the trip

Thoughts on economy at cruise???

How did the big run go? are you still going to find a new prop?

I'm not 100% sure what economy thats saying 26kts 28L??

Wouldn't mind a 16p to up the revs a fraction then I think it's set.

I will try it 1 more hole up however.

Economy wise I'm 2km per litre which I think might be a bit sceptical but it's what the gauge says anyhow.

How did you go about lifting your motor?

I have been told by the chief engineer at work < I work on a ship> that you just loosen the lower bolts with the elongated holes and remove the upper bolts.. trim your motor up, put blocks of softwood like pine under the skeg and slowly lower the trim to the right height and reinstall the bolts..

sounds rough as guts to me but he said it works and isnt an issue..

any comments??

That's exactly how I did it mate! Just don't put the skeg on an angle and your set
