    Prawn Trap

Hi guys went crabbing a couple of days ago in this little creek
got 2 really good muddies. Anyway when i pulled the pots
there was a heap of good size prawns dropping through the mesh.
Just wondering is there some sought of prawn trap i can purchase
somewhere, to catch some of these suckers. Can't throw a cast net
way 2 many snags i know you can buy those crayfish traps or should i make my own.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciatated. Cheers Manta Man

Any finer mesh pot will work. Have a look in google images for "prawn traps" to see a few designs. Also search on here cause it has been asked a few times already and make sure you check on legalities in tidal waters with pot entry size etc. (it has been brought up they are illegal in tidal waters but I can't find any proof on the dpi site)

an easy option. cover the bottom of your crab pot with shade cloth. fish for crabs and prawns at the same time.
fishing's as simple as 3 P's - patience, perserverance and PLASTIC!
