    River 14/1/13

So thanks to the weather forecast on Monday I’ve got myself into an interesting dilemma. My trailer is an absolute mess and is getting fixed Monday and Tuesday so I planned to spend the day and Monday night out in the boat around Mud (I can’t travel any further than Cabbage tree creek due to the trailer so I’m launching from there) but looking at the weather forecast it’s going to get pretty bad in the afternoon. I’m thinking of heading into the river for shelter when it picks up but here lies my problem. Even though I’ve lived in Brisbane my whole life I’ve never actually fished in the Brisbane river I’ve always gone land based or bay. I’m not after any secret spots or anything but if anyone has any general places and/or advise it would be greatly appreciated.

try the ledge next to the sewage outlet at the mouth ,plenty of live bait to be had where the water pumps out after dark, if wind from the north try further in at the sunken rock wall with livies from the spot i mentioned, if water is calm try the rockwall in front of the wharves after dark also with livies. oh ps hold on :p
