will let you know tomorrow - give mine its first run on the water . Keep in mind that with a water proof housing sound quality will never be fantastic . If you use the open back or skeleton housing the sound is much better (but open to wind noise)

Give a man a fish & he will eat for a day !
    Teach him how to fish
& he will sit in a boat - & drink beer all day!

Sound on go pro 2 is very good. As above says it depends on the housing. Most fishos would probably use the waterproof housing which muffles the noise a lot. YouTube uploads also does strange things to sound at times.

The sound quality is ok using the waterproof housing (very much toned down still) & better than the Hero 1.
Taken out of the housing or using the open back -the quality is pretty good .
