    Snaps at the Port

Took the family for a late afternoon fish... pug included. Got there at 5 pm. Threw the first lines out and it wasn't 10 mins before I hooked onto a 53 cm snap (on squid). It was a great fight. Looking into the distance down the channel it seemed like we were in for some rain, but luckily that didn't eventuate; the wind was in our favour blowing the cloud out to the bay. Soon after, the daughter hooked up to a just legal bream, which she wanted to bag. Then, I hooked onto another snapper... get this... on an SP. Woohooo! We were happy with the catch and headed home shortly after. Twas a nice evening out.

It has got me excited to go for the larger ones. Feeling the rod bouncing around and the drag peeling off. What a great sport... Al, you don't miss to often. You'll come good next trip, that a sure bet.
