    Hummingbird sounder question

G'day guys. I have a hummingbird sounder/GPS combo that has been showing a bit of interference lately. Whenever I get over a certain speed the screen gets all Hazy. And when I go into reverse it does the same thing. Just wondering what I might be able to do to fix the problem? Any help would be great. Cheers

Does anyone know someone on the sunny coast that I might be able to talk to?

It sounds like your transducer is too high and is getting air under it.

    Re: Hummingbird sounder question

I have the transducer slightly tilted down on my bird sounder and I also have the noise setting on high 1 if traveling at 30 ks or over if I am trolling I have the noise setting on low or medium. They are a tricky sounder to get right , took me 12 months to get mine right, I would have my old furuno back any day of the week. The end of the transducer closest to the boat is about 5 mm lower than the boat and the other end of the transducer is about 10mm below the bottom of the hull, there is not a lot of tilt in it but without it there is just no way to be able to read the sounder.Cheers.

Thanks for that guys. I have tried to angle it down and up but it hasn't fixed the issue. I have used a furuno before and loved it. I'm thinking I might go back to it.
