doesnt matter with you does it Rosco, whether in the boat or on the land...you are the crabking
youngfella and myself hit lota creek this morning for an hour crab session, used the top lift dillies ,dont worry fellas these are the legal type we can still use...had the 4 dillies in the water by 8.30 had them out of the water by 9.30 end result was 5 keeper muddies and 1 28 cm bream..threw 2 keeper crabs back as they where soft as and not worth keeping..other muddies i kept where from 1kilo - 1.3kilo for the biggest one.great fun gettin back to the basics with the youngbloke..although he did winge bout the mud...happy new year to you all
cheers rosco

nah prob not robin.i just hit a few spots where i used to get mudcabs as a kid and there still there..best was 6 muddies in 1 lift dillie but only 1 keeper
Rosco, so with soft shells, does that mean a new mault?Or is that molt?
Any way, after rhe new shell, do they loose meat, so to speak
David
Great work mate, Really enjoy seeing these landbased reports!
No doubt about it Rosco, you could crab and get good results from the gutter in your driveway....
Would the world end if you developed a really bad allergy to crabs???
Jack.
tunaticer, nah mate i just enjoy catching the buggers, think the youngbloke eats bout 10 to my 1 these days, i always had a pot in the creek from an early age but back then u could go home for the day come back and your pot would be still there and always had a couple of keepers..now if i went home for an hr the pots would more than likely be gone or the crabs would be...bring on the feb flush of sandies think the area robsue got his will really fire this yr.
cheers rosco
Nice work Rosco,
I've been past Lota Ck a couple times with some interest in investigating. Might have to don the booties and have a look for myself! Thanks for the post mate!
Cheers

There is a fine line between fishing and just standing on the shore like an idiot
