I would use 316 but in metric 12mm as normally the metric bolts are a lot cheaper
Hi lads, about to fit a manual jacking plate on my v19r, motor is a 175 hp ,just wondering if anybody can help me with what bolts to use.? Is 316 1/2" stainless ok or should i use 304 or something else. I know the 316 are higher grade and won't rust like a 304 can but Is the strength ok in 316? Any help would be appreciated. Also does anybody know the correct torque setting to tighten bolts to??
Cheers JB

IF IT CAN'T EAT A WHOLE PILLY I DON'T WANT IT
You can use galvanised 8.8's and isolate them with s/s washers if you wanted to.........i've had engines bolted on with Galv bolts.........as long as you wash/maintain them like everything else it won't be a problem.......
