    2 hour soak

    left manly at midday, had to wait to be legal to drive, put 8 pots, checked after 2 hours, got 8 sandcrabs and 1 mudcrab
    left the pots in, will be out at daybreak, hopefully for a few more

    Nice work mate, were the 7 crabs keepers or throwbacks?

    the 8 sandcrabs and 1 muddie were all legal, Toddo
    bloke at the boatramp said u could see the crabs swimming just under the surface along inside of moreton island, so there are plenty around still

    great stuff hope you get a few moore. One question when i leave from manly i at times drop 2 pots in but dont have much success i drop them between green and st helena what bait should i use not wanting anyones secrets just a starter.

    {copie} Mark..... i used old whiting frames and grinners, i also use mullet......

    went out at first light today got 14 from over night soak and ended up with a total of 47 sandcrabs and 3 muddies, my mate and i have some happy friends

    nice one robin,think the muddies are on the move,going to hit the local landbased tomorrow with the lift dillies,hope to get a feed for dinner tomorrow nite,think the crabin days in the cat might be over as i just cleaned it up for it to go on the market next week.have started looking around for the next boat but thinking it will more than likely come from the U.S.....got my eye on a couple of 266 worldcats and also a few glacier bay cats

    its the best catch for me for awhile, though once you look after family/friends they dont last long, as you would well know

    yeah mate,be sad to see it go but i guess sometimes you have give a little,maybe get something just as good from the states..

    Thanks Robsue will give some frames a go next time i have been using whole mullet and last trip got 1 crab about the size of a 50 cent peice.
