    Mud 29/12/12

    Hi all,

I fished Mud on Friday with soft plastics and only landed a 32cm Squire. So I decided to go back with bait and it worked. Found a nice little rise on the North East side of Mud with my new Lowrance Elite 5 (anyone know how to enter coordinates manually into this unit). Headed home at 7:30am with my bag.

Dad reckons fishing is 10% brains and 95% muscle, the rest is just good luck.

    Yeah, well done mate.

    Some nice snapps there.
    Cheers, Doug.
Love to use Preditek or Kingfisher lures or Viva Lures when I am out fishing.

Nice fish mate, how was the Elite 5? I got one for xmas and am keen to hook it up (work is getting in the way).

The Elite 5 works well but for the life of me I can not seem to figure out how to enter GPS marks manually.

Well done Trick. Its bluddy frustrating when you get the right technology, but can't figure out how to use it to its full effect. (the bane of my life recently). Keep at it...you will eventually figure it out - and don't worry about how many temper tanties you throw - i think it helps

    Hi mate,

I have the HDS5 Combo unit and to enter co-ordinates manually you go to the "way points / routes / trails" menu from the "chart menu". Once you are in there it is pretty straight forward. Just hit enter on "new waypoint" and you adjust the co-ordinates by putting the cursor on them and using the up or down button. I haven't used an elite 5 but I assume it would be similiar?

    Good luck.

    Cheers
