I think that the guys who posted did so in a very polite way. Paddles you have shown contempt for the people who were pointing out your mistake in killing a protected fish. If it was a tongue in cheek post you seemed pretty defensive about the comments from "the self appointed ausfish angling police". The way I look at it you are either kept a protected fish and then changed your version of events to protect yourself or you intentionally posted a lie to cause trouble. Either way you have very little credibility left with me

fish was a dusky at 72cm and was the best i've ever caught in the river and it tasted just frikking lovely. i know my rules and still have trouble identifying duskies from the rest, but i will only ever take 45cm or so anyway because anything less is really just a pup and lets face it, i only really fish for whiting anyway the flatties are just tasty bycatch.

hey cobe, people shouldn't put reports up here seeking congratulations, they should be putting them up to let everyone know what's been caught and where, they should be able to do it without a lynch mob hassling them. sure if someone has made a mistake then it should be pointed out in a civil manner. i myself very rarely put reports up for our local area for this very reason, and there's very few who do, burleygu (who has commented sensibly here) is an exception, he fishes this area and puts up a report every now and again which i pretty much always read and say thanks for. anyhow horse, whether i "covered my tracks" or "stirred the pot" my credibility with you doesn't matter, have a good one.
