    Post Fish ID

Caught a number of these over time, some larger with yellow markings but never bothered to find out exactly what these are. Any clues?

    Thanks!

Yep silver biddy, the ones with yellow markings could be bony bream, they look similar.

Silver biddy but the ones I get in Bris River do not have such a long threadlike dorsal like that one does.
    Must be another species..

The ones in the Brisie river have probably lost their spines in cast nets targeting prawns....

They are sometimes called pouter bream in Central and North Qld. Usually caught in similar places to whiting. Not bad as live bait.
