have recently just moved my boat down from the sunny coast and have not fished much around the island.

Im probably too late although as for Moreton island you could try the four becons mate fishing with livies for coabia. The four becons are located nth wst prior to Tangalooma. The season is starting anytime now. Amongst the cobia you will also find Trevally and schools of Tuna.
