Boondoomba Dam What is biting?

Hi, all.

Just chasing some general info on Boondoomba Dam Going fishing there in January some time.

Does anyone know what is biting at the moment? Info on lures that might be successful there? Or any decent spots to find some bass? Is there redclaw in Boondoomba?

Plenty of info re bait on this forum and clues to where to get them.

Make sure your traps are legal re float sizes and identification tags.

Boondooma is fishing very good at the momment. The Jan issue of Bushn'Beach (only $3.50) has 2 articles on Boondooma with tips on spots and lures to use.
If you're interested in trolling I'd be trying a Smak 16 or a Voodoo, maybe a Manns 15+.
If you're casting to the edges you'll want a spinnerbait and a Jaclall TN60.
And for fish anywhere out from the edges a 1/4 or 3/8oz blade and paddle tail soft plastic (Slider or Keitech) on a 3/8oz jig head.
If you're going through Kingaroy to get there pop into Bass2Barra, for the latest info, not many kow Boondooma as well as Motty the store owner.
