Got one about the same size off Tin Can Bay a couple years back on 8lb mono with a kids rod, ended up going into the water up to my 'dipstick' to retreive it... they've certainly got some fight in em!!
8ft Flat bottom punt with a 4hp mariner. All man needs on a budget :-)
Good fun. The surprise ones are the best. Got one 2 weeks back on an alvey 6lb mono, a noodle whiting rod with a yabbie for bait that went about the same size also. Thought i had the ting from hell!! Ben
