    Replacement sounder for offshore fishing

Looking for advice on a replacement sounder for my boat.
I fish mainly out from Gladstone / 1770 area in a Mclay 585 Fisherman.
I am upgrading my navman colour sounder.
    My budget is around $1,500.
I was thinking of a Furuno 627. What transom mount transducer to match?
    Any other recommendations.

    Cheers Gazza

As above. Mine is crystal clear at 100m (the deepest I fish) and works at speed on my Quinnie.

    Hi Gazza,

Like the guys said mate the Furuno 627 is the go. You will not believe the improvement from your Navman. Good luck.

    Cheers
