    Sandie update around manly

    hey everyone,

Well last Sat/Sunday i put 4 pots out at the end of the Manly leads ( about 3m) where I've been getting good catches... this weekend I caught 6 keepers overnight that were of great quality but the numbers were down of past weeks. Back at the boat ramp and bloke was having issues retrieving his boat so I gave him a hand and after wards had a chat where he showed me his catch.......The BIGGEST sandies i've ever seen all in 8-10m.

Spoke to a mate last night and he also did well in 7-8m but not as well in his 3-5m range.

Anyway if anyone is looking for sandies head deeper!

    Cheers
    Bermo

Good to hear that you have been getting a few mate, I'll keep in mind to go a bit deeper next time around.
I went out on Tuesday, and crabbed near the red marker at the back of Coochie, for 1 nice legal Sandie.
Mum cooked it up and it made a nice sandwich for my sister.

I thought we would have done better, but it has been blowing northerly lately ( almost no wind on Tuesday morning though), so their must be some truth in the statement that you won't catch very much if northerly is blowing. At least I got out and ran my motor for a while. Will have to wait until the South Easterlies return and try my luck again.

    Cheers

    Nice catches mate.
But I'd love to know who is throwing their pots in near the rocky patch down the end near the bowls club with white floats (no details on the floats)
They have run a line between of of them them all over the best bream spot in Manly. They leave them there for a week and the crabs rot in the sun.
