    Wahoo,Dollies,Marlin!!

Went out saturday and sunday for my first fish in my local waters since the hervey bay comp with the misses and it didnt disappoint.Headed out through SPB just on first light saturday morning and headed wide of point lookout for a troll.Sent three hardbodies out first up and scored a double first pass of wahoo around 10kg.Headed back after taking care of them for another pass and picked up a triple! but lost one as we only had two of us aboard and could not keep the third from going slack. So we had our bag by 5.30am! we then headed south east and set the outriggers and 5 spread out, although i wasnt sure how this would turn out with only the two of us onboard.
As i was setting the spread i was tying a rubber band around the short rigger line when bang it was torn out of my hands by a solid fish which won its freedom via a pulled hook soon after. So i reset the spread and 5 minutes later we had a double of striped tuna which i kept one for bait and released the other.Following this we landed another 6 wahoo through the day all which were released, got the misses onto a 12kilo dolly! aswell as dropping 2 bigger models and jumped off 2 blacks nearby to where we caught the dolly.
DAY 2:same plan but we went in my mates boat BULLDOG but this day we had more hands on deck and a mate who really wanted his first billy.
first up went and scored a couple a wahoo from the same spot as day 1,but they wernt biting aswell this morning so we went south east and set the spread. We then scored another wahoo, then went a little quiet for a couple of hours till we got to the spot which was firing the day before and again it was lit up with bait!
Then we hooked a very solid dolly which put on some nice ariels then went deep,we wernt exactly sure the actually how big this beast was until we got him boatside and then our eyes lit up,got some unreal underwater video of this horse we had to sink 2 gaffs into!We weighed him at home and he went 24kg on 15kg line.Soon after we hooked another around 12kilos.and spotted about 4 more in the spread throughout the day all being around atleast 12kilos!
We then set our eyes on a billfish so we headed closer to the pin bar were the water temp was over 26 degrees when we finally hooked one! but he jumped off.30minutes later we got what we came for a nice little black around 20-25kilos then we came through the pin bar and made our journey back to cleveland ramp.have added the extra pics and am working on another video with some awesome underwater action!! Also just out of curiosity can anyone tell me the queensland record for 15kg line class dolphin fish??

Gamefishing wise the Queensland record is unclaimed in any line class above 10kg.

    http://www.qgfa.com.au/qgfa_records

    30.5kg is the Australian record.

    http://www.gfaa.asn.au/html/1aus_01....Search+Records

In ANSA, Div 1 is 17.4kg and gamefishing is 24kg. Qld are 14.5kg and 17.5kg

Thanks for that info smithy,we found all the cold water yesterday we trolled from point lookout to gold coast seaway for not 1 billfish strike.Thats what you get for not checking the sea
    Surface temperatures prior.Water temp was
Around 21-23 degrees for the most part.still lots of bait around though,I should have headed
North by the sounds of it
