    Bribie passage today

Had a couple of hours to kill today so thought I would slip up to the favourite sand bank where you can normaly get a feed of whiting.
Missed the last of the run out tide which is when I normaly get the whiting on this bank so switched over to plan B and was home in a couple of hours with 24 nice big snub nose garClick image for larger version.

Well done! Sweet eating those gar.
Note to self: Don't argue with an idiot. They will only bring you down to their level and beat you with experience....

    Re: Bribie passage today

Nice catch of a great eating fish. I'm always happy to fish the gar. I was out on Wednesday (without much success) but there so many gar in the berley trail that I put the cast net over them. Got 21 river gar in one throw - only small ones, so they're in the freezer for bait. Must have a shot at the big ones soon, probably over at Mud.
