nice bag chief. even when you "do it tough" you still get a great feed.
cheers
Hi haven't been on site for a while but sitting back tosarf after a morning fishing I thought I'd put up today's trip. Been getting a few lure tossing sessions in and scoring a few mixed bags but working hard for them. Been doing a bit of mud crabbing as well for a change and the wife is happy about having a constant supply of muddies in the fridge but gee they don't last long . Started with a few bream this morning on atomic hardz. Yesterday storm and run off has stirred up a lot of undersized buggers but persisted and landed 5 reasonable bream. A lot of Moses perch around the rock walls and don't they love those squidgee critters, played with them for a while. Wasn't a fan of the tide but had a shot for some squire and landed this nice bloke. he hit like there was no tomorrow. Wish I would have found a few more of his friends and then finished off with a couple of lizards on the flats just before the top. It was a nice solo trip no pressure and no rush for a change. pulled my pots on the way home and unfortunately only had one jenny and an one undersized but boy it was great not having the fan blowing like crazy and beautiful conditions to rejuvenate and just chill. Cheers

fishing's as simple as 3 P's - patience, perserverance and PLASTIC!
love the hat Paul..you trying to outdo nettie in the Ausfish fashion stakes???
Now that makes three of you blokes..funchy , nettie and you..am bloody jealous.
I tell you greg the hat is a corker. in a open boat the dam thing works a treat and really makes a difference. Its slowly gaining character picked it up in Winton a few months back just needs more fish guts and animal blood on it and it'll be sweet
Chief as always showing how its done. Like netmaker says you do well when doing it tough. Still yet to catch up for that river session mate show you a few of my secret weapon plastics. Tight lines - Mossy
Tell me when Mossey, been bloody tied up with a heap of crap lately and looking forward to a couple of fun sessions. If that was your wife's horse I saw champ, it's a good looking beast. before I go any further because I know you Ausfish clowns I was talking about the horse
Yeah mate wasn't the only one with the long face that day. Yeah she is a small standard breed the wife loves the horses, I said prob need another 70 or so on the back of the boat. LoL Keep you posted Chief, I haven't been out to the water as much as the paddock these days. tight lines - mossy
Mixing it up as always chief! I haven't been on the river much lately but thinking of taking macy on her first trip this weekend, so if you're out and about might catch up...
Nice going there Cheif, did you target threadies at all or are they not about at this time of year mate?
Funchy.. I did give a quick crack at the pipeline with a livie but only scored a couple of those big stinking catties. I noticed Gavin Dunn throwing a few lures for threadies at a few of the regular haunts as well .I don't think he came up with any either on the day. He seemed to be moving around as much as me LOL but I was dabbling in a bit of this and a bit of that. Should be a few threadies around tho especially after that run off. I will give it a bit of a go this week..
Jesse...that would be great mate, I want to take my little grand daughter out but she keeps saying Poppy the motor is too loud she had 1 trip and i've never seen anyone sit so still. I think she thought it may roll over if she moved. Hope I see you champ let us know
Well done chief on a good mixed bag and good to see yah on as its been a while. For a slow day you got a good mixed bag but shame about the muddies as its good to keep the boss happy eh. Good snap to and a solid flatty. Cheers DD.....
hi ya DD doing a bit of fishing and a bit of hunting but have been really busy and a few little hassels to attend to that just took up too much time. Its been that type of year.. Bring on 2013 mate. 2011 I was doing a lot of fishing and took a fair few blokes from ausfish out on lure trips. I want to do the same next year and have a bit of fun and enjoy the company.
Yeh chief I'll let you know... Macy is the opposite of that she is obsessed with fishing and getting in the boat, she'll just sit in it at home with her life jacket on haha... Took her out in the noosa river and I couldn't go fast enough for her!
Yeh its been a bad year mate. This year i have gone broke, lost job now trying to get new builder to take over so i can still go, move house, choke out the builder, and well you guess the rest. the building game has gone to crap now and hard to live and come out other side. Fishing keeps me calm but with no fishing in weeks of late moving house and chasing work has made me a little fiesty and i snap like snapper ha. Anyho i hope to see more of you and me soon. Cheers DD.....
DD... My oldest bloke left his trade carpenter to head up to Mt Isa on the mines.. Best thing he could have done.. sorry to hear your year has gone that way Hope to see a few reports from you mate with a couple of those snaps Cheers
