Furuno Chartplotter Problems

Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone can help...

I have a new Furuno 1670F Chartplotter fitted to my boat and the first trip out was fine, the next two trips though, it works fine for the first hour then will freeze, turn off, restart go again for a minute or so then do it all again, over and over gradually doing it faster and faster making it unuseable...

Has anyone had a similar issue with their plotter?? Would it be something I've done?

check your power lead. sounds like a bad connection somewhere in the system

Thats what I thought, but I've tried the old power lead & it runs off the same source as the sounder and it works fine... plus it also seems weird that on first use it lasts for at least an hour... then 5 mins, 2 mins, 1 min, 1 min , 1min. Looks like it could be internal I guess, I'm waiting for Monday to talk with the Furuno tech.

Just thought someone may of had a similar prob

warranty is your friend then if its new and does go from 1 hour then after awhile down to 1 minute before it cuts out sounds internal
