Hi all what’s happening with the Mooloolaba entrance these days last time up there you had to turn towards the beach then go north before heading east when leaving the river mouth.
From memory they were waiting for the big dredge to arrive.

Hi Mark. I went out Wed morning at 4.30 to Murphys and came back in at 9. No worries at all, no breakers just some swells to watch for. There is no boay or dredge anymore.

I also went out and in the Maroochy river bar last week to Old Women Is and it is the best I have seen it for a long time. Straight out the channel and not having to turn inside Pincushion Is makes it easy as well.

Hunt up the latest Notice to Mariners. The sand bar is on the creep again after the last lot of swell. Hang on the west side of the leads and take a lot of caution in big swell. Last weekend it was cracking across the front again.

Thanks all yes Smithy I had heard it was starting to build up again since it was dredged.
