Great video - that angry black was a classic!
Thanks for taking the time and effort to post up such a report - great stuff.
Also congratulations on your win.
An open boat - did the hard-yards boys but still got to enjoy a good night sleep at the end of the day.
Cheers

Thanks for the report. Very well written, almost felt like i was there!!!
Congrats guys what a fantastic trip and I'm sure one that will never be forgotten.
Out of interest were you guys using single hook or twin hook set ups on the pushers? Any particular lure colour stand out from the rest?

Greg

great stuff like the video
A mix of both, were running small pakulas on singles and meridians slightly larger on doubles.safer handling on the the singles as those little ones play up a bit boatside.pinks were working well in the long rigger, purple on anything in close and we also had good success with orange on the shotty as well as crystal.
Awesome job,got to love those fired up little blacks.Cant wait to get them down this end.
Life is short fish hard!!!
21,6 Sea Fox WA Pro ....
No shark problems on any boats as far as I know
Hi Boysl
Can not agree with you more, it was a once in a lifetime experience. Thanks again for lending us the 40 liters of fuel. Due to been low on fuel we decided to just troll back from the thirteen mile bar all the way back to Rooneys and what a trolling session it was. It took 4 hrs but the fishing was unbelievable, we were catching blacks, stripes, wahooooo, yellow fin and cobia. Thanks again for lending us the fuel and will hopefully see you up there next year.
Overdraft
no problems overdraft.see yas again next year ova...
that was fantastic, and i must say that was some great boat work as well
well done
cheers

Well ... we were there & every word Tinsanity said is TRUE.
They (bulldog) smashed it, you almost got sick of hearing them on the radio "bulldog hook up" "bulldog double hook up" just being repeated over and over !!
We (ORCA) were the boat who hooked up and landed the black near the mother ship in 7 meters of water and we saw him coming !
It was our first real attempt at trolling and as Overdraft said the experience was something we will never forget...6 of us all caught our first Marlin and a few more.
The Harvey Bay Game Fishing Club boys & girls should be very proud of the event and the way it was organized, it was our 3rd tournament up there and definitely not our last. Its an event i HIGHLY recommend !!
As they say once you hook a marlin your hooked..... that also is the truth, with us gearing up and spending a small fortune to be better prepared for next time.
It was awesome chatting to you boys & see you at the Little Ship tournament.
Joe
Clap Clap Clap Clap..................Think we will be doing the gold coast next then little ships..
Little ships is another great tournie...
The footage is a little pixle on aus fish, 'you tube' or 'black marlin blog' turned out alot clearer.
See you all at the goldie and little ships lets hope the fish are happy to hang around this area while these comps are on.
