shock the carnster releases a big GT

Well it was windy this morn, but i hooked up on a freight train first drop on the 30lb braid/trace. I was getting towed to the beach for about 40mins and it was a bit crazy but i kept calm and i am so glad i saw what it was. Way too big to keep and eat, but i would have loved to get it on a brag mat. A few pics in the water and it swam away. I don't think the pics do it justice but i reckon about 1.2m. It just keeps getting better.

unreal carnster. You would think by now, the fish would be used to the shape of your yak looking up and keep well clear of it.

Time to get a bigger Yak! Well done Carnster, what a fish! How many kgs is a 120cm GT? it would have to be at least 30 wouldn't it?

    You are da man!

Thanks Matt and others, I reckon 30kg+. Certainly had a lot of girth. Was gr8 to watch it swim away. Even circled me once before taking off strongly.

Great fish and well done on the release. You should have put a harness on it and used it for an outboard for the day!
