    Is this fixable

Hey guys spent the weekend at Somerset Dam boating and fishing with the family. Noticed though on the way back home the tyre cover has come away from the trailer. Is it possible to weld this back on? What is the best way to fix it? Have attached photo to show you what I mean. Cheers for any help.

Yeah the mudguard should be able to be reattached.

What bracket held it on? Compare it with the other side and see if you need a new bracket, new bolts or the bracket welded. I thought the mudguard bracket on Dunbiers was part of the spring hanger assembly and was welded and galvanised but I can't see the U-bolts in your photo.

Dunbier have a good spare parts selection if parts are needed and if a new trailer it may be a warranty claim.

There are slots on the front and back up inside the wheel arch, located under the nonslip step section..Check they are not destroyed and the bolts not doing their job.If rooted you can buy identical guards from trailer parts suppliers.I got one from ATS up at Salisbury for around $80.Jim

Not being funny here - but your question can probably be answered by yourself.

If you have a look underneath - you will be able to see what the problem is.

    I would be thinking either:-

    1) The bolts attaching the mudguard to the bracket have either rusted away - or vibrated loose
    2) The bracket itself has rusted away and is no longer connected
    3) The part of the mudguard that is bolted through the bracket has cracked away.

So, have a look and tell us if it is one of the 3 above. Then we can tell you what has to be done.
