    C-map PC Planner

I own an Navman 8084 and have just brought a Simrad NSS8, and wish transfer my waypoints that I have saved on an SD card to the new unit. I believe the Navman format is GPX and the Simrad is USR. I also brought a Navplanner card reader but it doesn't recognise the format, do I need to buy a PC PLanner to get it saved to my computer and then convert it or can someone suggest a cheaper alternative cos this is driving me crazy

Please put in your location as part of your profile it helps when answering questions. Location can have a big bearing on what advice is given.
I would take to Trymax Marine at Cabalaba, they run a service for this type of thing.

You should be able to use a GPS program like GPS Babel, EasyGPS or GPS Utility to do a conversion. The one I struggled with was from a big North Star which spat out a NSTAR_DB.DAT file which I was able to convert into a *.gpx but I couldn't get it back into North Star format.
