    Sunday Sandies

Hi all. Decided to empty the freezer of winter whiting frames from recent success over at the sandhills and try for a few crabs. After dragging the boy out of the cot for an early start we set the pots and headed into towards Scarborough reef. Found a surprising show of fish in a about 6m of water and thought we would give it a crack. As I had planned to mainly crab I had only thrown in a few previously defrosted mullet for bait. Picked up two nice legal squire, one for me and one for my 5yo who did a great job wrestling in his fish on whiting gear. Picked up 10 nice sandies, biggest 18-19cm in the old measure and back home and cleaned up by lunch. A few pics attached.

Love to use Preditek or Kingfisher lures or Viva Lures when I am out fishing.
