Wanted to borrow - a blank Garmin data card

Hi Guys

I am hoping to borrow someones blank Garmin data card to pull some points off an old Garmin GPS.

The card looks like this ---->

Hope to borrow it to do the job ... then return it to you asap.

Happy to leave a deposit for its safe return. I just dont want to fork out $100 for a new card that I will use just once as I am going to a Lowrance.

Hopefully someone on the Sunshine Coast .... Brisbane is OK too ?

You don't need it. Go into the wiring and find the data in/out. Get a 9 pin - USB converter and a 9 pin serial connector. Make sure you convert the comms to Garmin and not NMEA. Connect to the PC and have the Mapsouce program. I used to own all the card reader etc... but sold it. I have sucked info off others that way.

I have the card reader and eveything else .... just need the blank card. This will be heaps easier and cheaper than your suggestion ($30 each for each cable) if someone can lend me the card for a couple of days. But I do appreciate the suggstion.

Ive got a 32mb garmin data card of the variety your'e after.

You can have it and the reader with usb connector, I have no need for it (should have gone with my old boat).
