Weird the new 200 weighs in 30 kgs more than my 225f, you would have thought they would reduce the weight if they could. I would go the bigger motor, HH like a bit of power, they are not a light boat. I have spent some time in the 600R and they are a good rig. The 560 are a good thing too, heap of fishing room in them.
Here is a reply from Yamaha about the new motor.
"Thank you for contacting Yamaha Motor Australia with your enquiry.
Firstly, we can confirm that the current F200C's weight is 283kg. The
press release to which you refer is the totally new version, the F200
F/G (see below).
This new F200 incorporates new technologies, which have allowed
a greater power to weight ratio to be achieved. The main difference
to note is this motor is producing the same 200 hp from a 4 cylinders
while the previous model (F200C) was a V6 (See UK press release
below).
We noted your question, Will the F200 F/G be released here in
Australia ?
At this time our understanding is that there will some new product
releases scheduled for later this year. However we have not been
advised as yet what these may be.
We suggest that you monitor our web site;
http://www.yamaha-motor.com.au
For press releases on new products being introduced to the Australian
New Zealand boating markets.
Once again, thank you for contacting us. We hope this brief explanation
is of assistance."
So at this stage we don't have the new 200hp yammie.
