Got out for a cold windy flick in the fresh this arvo.
Was fishing a spinner into a snag being closely watched by this local reptile who looked like he'd bagged something of his own


Was happy to pick up a couple of fish from that snag but not real keen on getting up too close if I got caught up!
Managed to get one up a bit closer to the magic number.
Also managed to lose my surface cherry for the season. The poor little fellow had woofed this popper down so far that the back treble was nearly out the other end!
Got half a dozen for the afternoon and was pretty happy given the conditions.
Looking forward to warmer temps to get the surface action moving along

Good stuff I have notices lately a lot more snakes around. Ive been getting a few on surface down here (Gold Coast) but the bigger ones are still come on the divers.Congrats on popping you surface cherry for the season may there be a lot more to come.
