I just did my first double Chevron and had a go at making it a closed wrap, never done that either. I started and finished with braided ribbon but not sure how it looks.
I need to work on my measurements as well but it came up reasonably well for a first go.
Is it just me or does the ribbon not really work with this?
I'm wondering if I should pull about half of it off and leave it as an open style which did look pretty good when there was still a lot of blank showing through.
Great effort there mate, remember when doing closed wraps the layout is the most important thing to get right and it looks like you have done a good job with that, by the way the colours are cool as well.
Next time try doing a closed double on 4 axis,s and you will get the fish scale effect. Not much different to what you have done here but will give a better effect.
Top effort for first closed wrap
Here's some pics of a jig that I made up that helped me a lot in setting up for Wraps
It gives you strait lines and even marks to set up the Chevron ,Diamond or what ever wrap you want to do ...Great for multipual axis
