Far out thats a long way from the Goldy any particular reason you are going to Elim Beach? it is a nice spot with huge sand/mud flats...didnt see anyone fishing from boats when we were there...we caught nothing off the shore..didnt get any muddies either you would think a place like that would be full of them....make sure you have a yarn to the old fella who makes spears the traditional way (all be it he finishes em off woth a makita grinder!!) Nice spot but 24 hours is a fair drive!

The 'old fella' is Eddy Deemal - he owns the place. If you go there a few times he might take you into his confidence. There's plenty of fishing, a wreck not too far out, a couple of creeks to get plenty of crabs at - don't crab blacky's creek - blacky is the local croc and he doesnt like crab pots. Eddy will tell you if you ask and he and the dog decide you are O.K.. Fairly wary the pair of them
    Enjoy, its a beautiful place.
