Now it's a bit of a love triangle scalem,
I reckon his new nickname may be pig on a spit
Went back out today only thing that hammered us was the northerly after lunch, worst trip ever !!!!!!! back across bay.
The only thing that pulled drag today was a whale, bloody things sneak up on you
4 in the boat not sure if Mossy could handle 3 rods Fisho ?
Yeah we had that the last time out when he got the Mac tuna 90ltrs in fuel I burned to get that fish haha but them's the breaks the whales can be a pain but I love seeing them out there makes the day so much better anytime you want you are welcome shoot me your number and I will let you know when we are going. What I have taken out of these 2 trips is that light as possible line is the go same sort of terminology as in the bay. I am going to take out my Raider next time with the 10lb braid I have on it and see how it goes. I am starting to think Mono may have been a good idea to as I have always done good on it aswell. I cannot have my deckie kicking my ass everytime we go out haha.
Be prepared to loose some line mick i fret every time I get something that runs like them big tuna's but I have never been spooled only busted sometimes I may get excited and over feather the spool. Hahahahha Ohhh man I hope I don't get banned from your boat too for outdoing the skipper?
Did I tell you bitches I'm on holidays till the 8th come Monday ? I think 1770 is calling 10lb will only be good to hold your hair back Fisho
All good DT I have my New Diawa Demon Blood Over head rod armed with my Saltist lever drag reel running 50lb Tornament Braid and my Shimano 6500 Baitrunner running 40lb braid on my shimano 10-15kg T curve offshore traveller rod with my 7-10kg shimano Tcurve Snapper set up with my stradic CI4 spin rell running 20lb Super PE braid with 40LB leader. If you think I need anything heavier I will go and see my mate Mark at Tackleworld Sandgate and sort it out. I am used to holding my hair back going 130MPH down a drag strip big guy haha.
It can be done that is for sure Fisho, all my PB's have come on the smaller rod excpet the Mac Tuna I got on my 5000 stradic. It is just a matter of being patient, easier said then done but mate don't think we could of given the fish more of a sporting chance than on the 10lb gear and no landing net, we truly caught the fish LoL. Most people laugh when I bring out the little p00fta sticks but seem to keep quiet once they load up with fish! BOOM!
I am always of the thought I go light as I possibly can.
Yeah Mossy as light a possible can work to your advantage that is for sure that is how I fish in the bay anyway bitof a differant story out there I gues but alot more sport on the light line and more of a challenge.
