    Brown Copper Tiger

    G'day guys,

I was playing around with a tiger wrap last week in the split grip of an older rod I wanted to spruce up a bit. I came up with this. It is copper metallic fish hawk wrapped with dark brown mettler polysheen. The top wrap was the dark brown with one discard. I burnished the absolute crap out of the bottom layer and put two coats of epoxy over that. I also burnished the hell out of the top layer. The photos really don't do this wrap any justice at all. The amount of movement is spectacular and in the sunlight it seems to shimmer. Prior to this wrap I think I was over complicating things with too many base layer threads and having too many discard threads. It reminds me of the old saying, use the KISS principle, "Keep it simple stupid."

That looks very sweet indeed. I reckon a video of tiger wraps would really show them off well.

Great looking tiger mark, so let me get this straight..............you only used 2 threads on the bottom layer and 2 on the top with 1 sac thread. Correct?

    Cheers

Thanks guys. I was really very happy with this one. The tiger swirls and circles are really pronounced.
Yes Pedro, this was the very basic tiger of two base threads and two over with one discard. I usually try and include white in the base as well but for some reason it just wouldn't work with this wrap.
