Just wondering if anyone can give me a recent report on the fishing in the dam. I haven't been there since summer and it was average on that trip with live bait. I don't mind a bit of trolling lures but not for hours. I was hoping some yellas and silvers might be about. Any news would be appreciated.

Water is still cool and the shrimps aren't out to play yet.

Thanks Finga. What's the shrimp supply like down the river? I'm travelling from Ipswich this Friday and don't mind leaving a few traps in the river overnight. We always camp at Washpool so it's not far to get them saturday morning.

With the warm weather the last few days the water temp is more then likely increasing.
Shrimps might be ON by Friday.
We've been getting a few shrimps with chicken wings. (but don't tell anybody and that was about 10 days ago )

PS: If you want to try some worms I should have a supply by Friday. We're about 17 seconds off the highway coming into town.
If I get time I might even throw a trap in to see what's happening with the shrimps. But finding time might be the problem as I'm going away for a few days.
PPS: Let us know what you think of the camping area. Honest feedback is most welcomed to try and make the place better.
