Fishing can be defined as "A jerk on one end of the rod, waiting for a jerk on the other".
"Fishing was around along time before you darling"
Yes, I have a 30 on a live fibre, and it is a nice reel, just spooled it with 60lb braid for 1770.Garry (Spaniard King) showed me a overhead reel the other day, it was light and he used it to land some nice fish, cannot remember the model, it was a Shimano reel I am sure. Maybe send him a PM.
Yes.. I have one I married up to a custom built 6'6" 15kg Fast taper rod ( I built it ).
Added 80lb braid and I use it for the deep water.
Smooth. Retrievel rate good / adequate. Drag very good when new, but jerky after a few trips.
They are value for money. No corrosion issues yet.
IMO. they are a tad heavy for their size an application.
I still rate them, but as I said, only use for water depths 60mtrs and deeper. I prefer to use mono under that depth.
In the shallow water ( under 60mtrs ) I use a Diawa Sealine 400 ( similar to the Penn 114H ). Not a lever drag , just star drag, but tough, extra smooth and virtually maintainence free for years. Mono is a 55lb low stretch type and bolted onto a 10 -15kg stick.
The 20 will work for REDS

I have a 30 for the last two and a half years. They are heavy, and suffer a little from corrosion around the tags on top. That is the negatives. All the rest is positive. Plenty of grunt, line capacity and drag. Ratio is a good blend and I have never felt the need to go for a two speed. Mine is spooled with 80lb braid and on a 5'6" 'come here' spiral wrap stick I made a couple of years ago. Has handled reds, sharks, spanos, big GTs, etc with ease. I would buy another one.

yeah yeah.... he asked about Tyrnos 20's FFS !
20's and 30's are different animals.
